Here ya go Anita....I do share!! Actually, the recipe came from my Betty Crocker Cookbook. They are called Scotch Shortbread.
Heat oven to 350^F.
Mix 3/4 cup butter, softened and 1/4 cup sugar. Mix in 2 cups all-purpose flour. (If dough is crumbly, mix in 1 to 2 Tbsp. butter.) Roll dough about 1/2 inch thick on lightly floured board. Cut into small shapes. Place about 1/2 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until set, about 20 minutes. Immediately remove from cookie sheet.

The icing is just powdered sugar and water. And a little food coloring. We made it pretty thin and put two layers on.
